Fashion, tech collide at new ZenBook launch with Isabelle Daza and Rajo Laurel
Fashion x technology
At last night's event aptly named "Transcendence" held in Shangri-La at the Fort, ASUS Philippines showcased a unique fusion between fashion and technology by unveiling the new ZenBook models, top-billed by the ZenBook 3 Deluxe, and its ambassadress, Isabelle Daza, along with a parade of the latest collection from renowned Filipino fashion designer Rajo Laurel.
Spearheaded by ASUS Philippines Country Manager George Su, the occasion highlighted the Taiwanese brand's leadership in the Philippine and Southeast Asian markets. As of 2016 according to GFK, ASUS enjoys a substantial 22.1% market share in the local mobile computing market, which is not too far from the 26% regional market share reported by IDC -- that is equivalent to more that two million laptops that were sold in 2015. Su fearlessly revealed the company's aggressive ambition of garnering the 50% share in the Philippine ultrathin notebook market segment this year. Indubitably, part of that ambition is the launch of the ZenBook 3 Deluxe in the country.
Claimed by ASUS as "The World's Most Prestigious Laptop with Unprecedented Performance," the ZenBook 3 Deluxe is clad in an all-metal unibody with 40 steps spun-metal finish that went through a 2-phase anodizing method to achieve golden highlights. Within, the ultrathin laptop meticulously squeezes in an Intel 7th Generation Core processor (Kaby Lake), 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB PCIe 3.0 SSD.
Following behind the ZenBook 3 Deluxe are two other ZenBook models, namely the UX430 and the UX530. These ZenBook models arrives in a glossy metal finish, a feat which ASUS achieved by combining five layers of UV coating, color printing, electro plating, pattern imprint, and metal substrate. Internally, these ZenBook models share similarities with the ZenBook 3 Deluxe. Graphics junkies would love getting these units as they can be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M GPU.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe will be available in three variants: 1TB SSD Limited Edition for PhP 104,995, 512GB SSD for PhP 89,995, and 256GB SSD for PhP 81,995. Interested consumers may visit the ASUS website to pre-order. Meanwhile, the ZenBook UX430 (PhP 59,995) and the ZenBook UX530 (PhP 69,995) are now available in ASUS Concept Stores nationwide.
