Going To The Next Level - Sony Releases New Xperia Smartphones
An Xperia-nce Like No Other

Following the success of their first batch of Xperia models, Sony has come out with two new Android-powered Xperia smartphones that strengthen the already solid portfolio. The handsets are none other than the high-end Xperia ion and the entry-level Xperia neo L. For a more engaging experience of the new crop, media guests were invited to an exclusive ride on Sony's Wi-Fi bus around Bonifacio Global City. There, invitees were able to use the two Xperia units to their full potential by watching videos, taking photos, and sharing the experience instantly on social networks. Already available this month, the Xperia ion and Xperia neo L include signature Sony technologies such as the Mobile Bravia Engine for vivid displays, X-Loud for pure audio goodness, and Exmor R for sharp photos even in poorly lit environments.

Make Way for the Next Generation

A recipient of the prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design, the Sony Xperia ion owns a gorgeous 4.6-inch HD Reality display powered by the Mobile Bravia Engine, producing a stunning resolution of 1280 x 720. The camera is just as potent, creating massive 12-megapixel photos and able to take a snapshot within two seconds from standby. This is aided by Sony's Exmore R, while a 1.5GHz dual-core processor guarantees a responsive interface. DLNA connectivity then makes wireless sharing a breeze. The Xperia ion will be available this month at a suggested retail price of PhP 29,990.

The Sony Xperia neo L is the more wallet-friendly offering of the duo. The latest Android 4.0 ICS operating system backs up the smartphone's features, such as a 5-megapixel camera, which can also record 720p videos, and xLoud Sony audio technology for a rich audio experience. It also boasts a large display at 4.0 inches. No need to concern yourself about its speed either, as a 1GHz processor with Adreno 205 graphics keeps this entry-level product on par with higher end handsets. You'll soon be able to find this in either black or white at a suggested retail price of PhP 12,490.
