AMD announced the Radeon HD 8970M as the most powerful GPU for notebooks from its Radeon HD 8000M lineup. AMD claims that it is much faster than the NVIDIA GeForce 680M.

PLDT, through its business arm SME Nation, signed a strategic partnership with Samsung to empower entrepreneurs today with business solutions comprised of cutting-edge technologies and IT services.
Previously codenamed Windows Blue, Microsoft's upcoming update for Windows 8, Windows 8.1, will be released for free, according to one of the company's top executives.
4G has not yet fully penetrated the Philippines, but in South Korea, the folks at Samsung are already working on 5G wireless technology. Anticipated to become available by 2020, 5G is several hundred times faster than 4G.

HP announced its plans to standardize the designs and features of its upcoming notebooks and tablets to strengthen brand equity and recognition among consumers.
Expanding its array of notebooks for businesses, Fujitsu has introduced the new Lifebook E Series which consists of models Lifebook E753, Lifebook E743, and Lifebook E733.
Apart from affordable Windows 8 tablets, ASUS will also introduce Chromebooks later this year. Running on Google's Chrome OS, Chromebooks are laptops primarily designed for education and government use.
Seagate's 600 SSDs are SSDs that are intended for consumers. Meanwhile, the 1200 SSDs and the X8 Accelerator PCIe SSDs are solutions made for enterprises.
