Manila, Philippines -- Micro-Star International (MSI) makes its fashion statement through the X-Slim notebook with a series of launch events in Southeast Asia (SEA) starting in Manila, followed by Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta . In SEA, home of many of the world’s emerging markets, the MSI X-Slim has been at the center of a whirlwind of activity, standing out among the long catwalk full of ultra-light and fashionable notebooks. Defining the MSI X-Slim Notebook in particular is the fact that it is the first to launch an Intel CULV product in the Philippines.

Originating from the corporate concept of innovation and style, the MSI X-Slim notebook series has been successfully introduced to many Western countries and has received good responses from the press as it gains market share and consistently achieves a high rank among the top worldwide and local brands.

In 2007, MSI started to launch its notebooks in markets in SEA. In less than 2 years, MSI has become one of the key players in the region, ranking among the top 5 brands in the Philippines. In 2009, MSI continues its aggressive strategies to implement local sales offices and new distribution channels in Malaysia and Thailand. MSI also plans to approach more dealers to create more dedicated support for customers and to increase market development. In addition, MSI is also diversifying its channel to chain retailers and the telecom companies in the region this year.
