Feeling At Home With ASUS

ASUS Philippines yesterday invited members of the press as well as partners from the creative industries to the Picasso Serviced Boutique Residences in Makati for a unique event. Reserving a swanky two-level room at the artsy hotel, the company hosted various demo setups showcasing a wide range of innovative solutions for the digital home. Read on to learn more about the highlight products that ASUS has on offer for today’s tech-savvy Filipino consumer.

Extended And Connected Entertainment

The home is a place for rest and relaxation, and what better way to engage in a few good hours of R&R than to enjoy the many forms of digital media content out there today on your cozy couch or bed. For these purposes, ASUS presents the following:

ASUS O!Play Mini Plus

A versatile multi-format HD network media player with a small footprint, the O!Play Mini Plus is a great companion for your big-screen HD TV, especially if it doesn’t come with any Internet-dependent Smart TV features yet. The O!Play Mini Plus covers those aspects by offering access to online content such as RSS news feeds, podcasts, YouTube videos, and even your Facebook account, among others. It’s also Wi-Fi-ready, and can even be controlled via a supported Android app, in case you already own a tablet such as the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer or Transformer Prime.

ASUS MS-100

Compact and USB-powered, yet still decidedly stylish, the ASUS MS-100 compact stereo speaker set is a perfect complement for your HD visual gear. Its classy art deco cone design houses large 54mm speaker drivers that generates up to 93dB of sound with under 3% distortion, adding up to deliver a comprehensive soundstage. Making it even better is that it’s purely plug-and-play, so you don’t have to worry about any cumbersome setup before you can enjoy an instant sound boost for your room’s entertainment system.

ASUS P1

Finding traditional projectors too large and bulky for comfort? The ASUS P1 portable DLP LED projector ought to tickle your fancy with its astonishingly diminutive dimensions, 200 ANSI Lumens brightness rate, and 1280 x 800-pixel resolution.

It’s clearly also a handy device to have, especially if you often need to make presentations for work. Given its small size and light weight, it’s very easy to carry around. Even better, it supports standard power adapters for most ASUS notebook PCs, so if you own one of the latter, you’ll only need to bring a single charger when you go out and about.

ASUS RT-N66U

Another ASUS device essential for your enhanced digital home experience is the ASUS RT-N66U dual-band wireless-N900 router. The new flagship model from ASUS’s Black Diamond series features exclusive Ai Radar technology amplifies signal coverage vertically as well as horizontally to cover a greater area, making it effective for multi-room, multi-level, and of course, multi-tasking multi-user buildings – exactly like houses. This router also boasts exceptionally simple setup, thanks to the ASUSWRT dashboard, which allows one-click updates to ensure best performance and ease-of-use. It also comes with QoS (Quality of Service) capabilities and full DLNA certification, which makes it a great partner to other network multimedia devices such as the O!play Mini Plus.
