Creative in partnership with local distributor IONTECH, Inc. gathered members of the press yesterday evening to introduce its latest innovation in entertainment, addressing the demand for high-quality home audio systems.
The ZiiSound Dx series aims to revolutionize the home audio system by giving users the options to expand or limit their audio systems according to their needs. Whereas traditionally, one buys an audio system as one whole single purpose-driven solution, Creative’s Pure Wireless modular speaker concept are flexible and scalable – meaning you can simply add on additional speakers as you need them. Best of all, the connections between these speaker modules are wireless, so you won’t have to worry about rearranging cable clutter again and again. Plus, placement of the audio system is likewise very flexible.
To help explain further, the Creative ZiiSound Dx series begins with a basic unit, such as the D5x or the D3x. The flagship D5x is available beginning this month at a suggested retail price of PhP 15,500, while the D3x, available beginning August 2011, is a more affordable option at PhP 8,100. On their own, these premium-designed speaker bars already hold their own in the audio front, with compatibility with stereo Bluetooth (with A2DP)-equipped mobile devices and media players. Beyond these, should the user require or desire to improve his audio experience, he can then turn to purchasing a ZiiSound DSx subwoofer (available beginning August 2011, also at PhP 8,100) to enhance the bass. Alternatively, he might simply want a second D5x or D3x unit to get a wider, 2-channel sound stage. Better yet, he can opt for the ultimate wireless audio system and go for a 3.1-channel system comprising of three D5x channels (left, center, and right) and one DSx subwoofer.
Now, how’s that for flexibility?
The ZiiSound Dx series is only one dimension in Creative’s Pure Wireless world. True blue music lovers out there should also keep an eye open for Creative’s Pure Wireless headset (headphones with built-in mic) options that start at PhP 3,100, as well as the Pure Wireless portability offerings that include the new Creative Zen Style M300 wireless music and video player and the affordable Creative D80 wireless speakers.
