Event: Going Green – RedFox Technologies, Miss Earth Join Forces
A Pageant Of Eco-friendliness
Apart from producing technological innovations, Philippine-based RedFox Technologies is also zealous in helping to preserve the environment. In line with its eco-friendly undertakings, RedFox took part in the Miss Earth 2011 Beauty Pageant which was held in Tarlac from November 23 to 24, 2011. Living up to its name, the Miss Earth Beauty Pageant's key focus is to promote environmental awareness. This year's theme is dubbed "The Earth is Crying. Let the Earth Smile Again".
As part of its participation, RedFox provided the judges with energy-conserving hardware, including Optima laptops, to determine the winner of the Long Gown Competition and Miss RedFox. Caroline Medina of Venezuela earned the Miss Earth Fire and Miss RedFox titles this year.
Last Saturday, December 3, 2011, RedFox renewed its partnership with Miss Earth by sponsoring the coronation night held at the UP Diliman Theater, which was eventually won by Miss Ecuador, Olga Alava, followed by Miss Brazil, Driely Bennetonne, our very own Miss Philippines, Athena Mae Imperial, and Miss RedFox herself, Miss Venezuela. During the course of the night, RedFox also gave away eight of its Razor notebook computers.
To show their appreciation, the winners of the Miss Earth 2011 Beauty Pageant visited RedFox's headquarters at Dona Hemady in Quezon City yesterday for a press conference.
During the press conference, RedFox also took the opportunity to present its environment-friendly products like the Wizpad, All-in-one PC, and Multi-Learner Station, with all three geared towards energy conservation. Leveraging on an energy-efficient platform, the Wizpad provides users with a decent computing experience while on the go. The All-in-one PC, on the other hand, doubles as a TV, allowing users to surf the Internet and watch their favorite programs without having to open a separate TV setup. Lastly, the Multi-Learner Station enables multiple users to do their tasks, play games, or download movies using a single computer.
A fierce player in the local technology market, RedFox Technologies will always don color red. But when it comes to serious issues like the welfare of our environment, RedFox can easily go green by actively participating in pro-environment initiatives and by producing energy-efficient computing products.
