HP Global Influencer Summit 2012 (Part 4) - New Desktop PCs And More
Reinvigorating The Desktop PC Space And Beyond
Aside from new printers and notebook PCs for consumers and business entities, the show floor of the HP Global Influencer Summit in Shanghai was also teeming with various models of desktop PC and related peripherals, together with some innovative retail solutions. On the whole, HP successfully showed us its broad spectrum of products that covers the consumer level up to the enterprise segment.
HP Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One / SFF
The Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One represents HP’s most space-efficient all-in-one PC designed to offer business-class performance. It is equipped with a 20-inch LED-backlit display with storage options that include SSD and self-encrypting hard disk drives. For business entities with workspace concerns, the Compaq Pro 4300 has a small form factor desktop PC version.

Expected to be available in July, the Compaq Pro 4300 All-in-One will sell for the price of US$ 529, whereas the Compaq Pro 4300 SFF will cost US$ 499.
HP Compaq Pro 6300
Harnessing the processing power of Intel’s third generation of Core CPUs, the Compaq Pro 6300 natively supports Intel HD Graphics, but is also offered with discrete graphics from AMD and NVIDIA.

Available in a variety of chassis options, this desktop PC carries a starting price of US$ 799 and will begin shipping in June.
HP Compaq Elite 8300 Series
Occupying the uppermost portion of HP’s hierarchy of desktop PCs in tower form factor, the Compaq Elite 8300 incorporates management, and expansion features with a premium support experience through the unique HP Elite service program.

Similar to the Compaq Pro 6300, the Compaq Elite 8300 Series will be available in various chassis options beginning on June with a starting price of US$ 999.
HP Compaq L2206tm
This new monitor from HP packs a 21.5-inch LED-backlit monitor that integrates three sensors for instantaneous touch recognition. Ideal for applications in which drawing is an essential skill, the Compaq L2206tm supports both finger and passive stylus input and comes with a flexible display panel that has height, pivot, and tilt adjustments.

HP’s price for this monitor is US$ 279 and it will start shipping sometime in June.
HP Compaq LA2405x
This 24-inch monitor shares a number of similarities with the Compaq L2206tm such as height, pivot, and tilt adjustments, except that it does not have touch functionality. On the outside, this monitor sports brushed-aluminum design accents and comes with an LED panel that has full HD (1920 x 1080p) resolution.

The Compaq LA2405x is available this month for the price of US$ 299.
HP Z220 Workstation
A powerful yet energy-efficient computing system, the Z220 Workstation is designed to meet the requisites of professionals in the field of video editing, mechanical computer-aided design (MCAD), architecture engineering construction (AEC), education, healthcare, and government. HP’s latest addition to its Z series Workstations, the Z220 is available in two form factors: convertible mini-tower (CMT) and small form factor (SFF) for space-constrained environments.

The Z220 Workstation is slated to be available starting next month along with the Elitebook w-series mobile workstation.
HP t410 All-in-One Smart Zero Client
This latest thin client solution from HP is among the most energy-efficient in its class, operating only within a power envelope of 13 watts. It has an 18.5-inch display and is powered through Ethernet connection. Designed to be versatile, the t410 All-in-One Smart Zero Client is compatible with different virtualization environments developed by Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware. Processor-wise, it makes use of Texas Instruments ARM Cortex with 1GHz clock speed.

HP will begin shipping the t410 All-in-One Smart Zero Client sometime in August.
HP RP7
Available in 15- and 17-inch display sizes, the RP7 can be an ideal solution for various business entities in the fields of banking and retail. It is equipped with USB ports on the sides (including the top) so that users can install optional accessories like a magnetic-stripe reader, webcam, or a fingerprint reader with flexibility.

Together with the 10-inch L6010tm, 15-inch L6015tm, and the 17-inch L6017tm Retail Touch monitors, the HP RP7 will be available in August.
