Introduction
Quiet Giant
Keyboards, computer mice, and speakers do not usually top the list of the most important parts of a computer system, but in many ways they are what make our digital lives possible. One of the major players of the multi-billion dollar computer peripheral industry is Logitech. Founded way back in 1981 by a pair of Stanford Masters graduates in Switzerland (we were just as surprised as you), it is now a veritably global company, employing 11,000 people and pulling in over USD 2 billion in sales in 2010.

While they are most known for their computer mice, their wide product portfolio has expanded to include keyboards, as well as audio peripherals such as speakers and headphones. To strengthen their headphone segment, Logitech acquired custom in-ear monitor (IEM) manufacturer Ultimate Ears, the fruits of which we have included in this special feature. Since 2011 has been "The Year of The Tablet," Logitech has also come up with peripherals for the rising segment, both for iOS and Android camps.
