Qualcomm revealed its next generation processors for mobile devices, the Snapdragon 800 and 600 series. As part of their re-branding efforts, low-end processors such as the Snapdragon 200 and 400 series are also on the way.

Strengthening its position in the mobile device scene, NVIDIA just announced the Tegra 4, the successor to the Tegra 3 CPU. The new processor features the same 4-Plus-1 CPU architecture.

Intel revealed plans on the design of its upcoming 22nm system-on-a-chip (SoC). It will feature 3D Tri-gate transistors, in line with their Ivy Bridge counterparts. Intel showed this new microarchitecture for its SoC in a paper presented at the 2012 International Electron Devices Meeting (IEDM).
