Android Police reports that Google will be announcing a new initiative where Nexus devices will get major system updates for two years and security patches for three years from the release date of the OS. Will this new initiative address fragmentation of the Android platform?
The next version of Google's Android operating system may be called Macadamia Nut Cookie (MNC) as this term is being referenced in the AOSP.
