Apple is possibly working on AR glasses with Carl Zeiss
Apple is said to introduce one more thing this year – an augmented reality (AR) optics.
American tech blogger Robert Scoble, who attended the CES 2017, revealed that a Zeiss employee confirmed rumors that Apple is working with Carl Zeiss for a pair of AR glasses. Claiming that the AR glasses could be announced this year, Scoble also said that he was puzzled to see no AR products in Zeiss' booth at CES 2017, but was located in the middle of the AR space.
Bloomberg, meanwhile, reported in November 2016 that Apple has a plan to expand into digital glasses, and the hardware could be available as early as 2018.
According to rumors, the glasses will connect wirelessly to the iPhone, display images, and other information in the wearer's field of vision.
