ASUS Showcases New Soundcard Set and Headsets for Gamers

Under the leadership of ASUS Corporate Vice President and GM of Worldwide Sales Jackie Hsu, the company’s Republic of Gamers (ROG) division showcased its latest range of audio solutions for gamers.

For gamers who couldn’t settle for the typical built-in audio chip on their motherboard, ASUS offers the Xonar Phoebus gaming soundcard set. This solution provides users with a desktop control box that allows for on-the-fly volume adjustment and convenient headphone and microphone connection. It also promises to reduce up to 50% of ambient noise, thanks to its smart algorithms and two array microphones that are embedded in the control box.

The successor to the Vulcan ANC, ASUS’ first noise-cancelling gaming headset, the Vulcan Pro ANC maintains all the features of its predecessor and introduces new ones as well. This flagship gaming headset comes with a compact USB audio dongle that provides a hardware DSP (digital signal processing) audio engine, resulting in surround sound and other special effects. No additional drivers are required.

Besides the Vulcan PRO ANC, ASUS also introduced the Orion and the Orion Pro as new additions to its growing line of gaming headsets. They pack 50mm neodymium magnet drivers, feature a retractable noise-filtering microphone, and a 2.5m long braided cable with an in-line volume control. The Orion Pro shares similarities with the Vulcan Pro ANC, incorporating a USB-based hardware DSP audio engine, headphone amplifier, and FPS EQ.
