KWorld Announces Android-Based Media Streamer

KWorld has announced its own media streaming set top box, the Android-powered SP800. The device runs is capable of playing full HD 1920 x 1080 video and lets you surf the web right on your TV. Housed in its small form factor is a 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor, and half a gig of DDR3 RAM. Storage comes by way of slots for removable 2.5" and 3.5" HDDs or you can use the 2 USB ports to connect your external HDD or thumb drive. Since it runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, you can download and run apps and games like you would on any Android smartphone or tablet.
