LG Optimus UI 3.0 to Arrive on Optimus LTE II, Optimus 4X HD

LG has introduced a new user interface (UI) for its Android smatrphones that run on Ice Cream Sandwich. Dubbed as Optimus UI 3.0, the new UI offers new features. The most noteworthy of these is Quick Memo that allows users to jot down notes on the device’s display by using a finger. With Optimus UI 3.0, LG smartphone users can now:
- Drag anywhere on the screen to unlock the phone
- Make a frequently used application or function automatically open once the phone is unlocked via the new Pattern Lock feature
- Organize main applications and downloads so that they can be easily accessible and manageable
- Capture photos by using voice commands through Voice Shutter
- Select the best shot among multiple images including the ones before the shutter button is pushed
- Set their own photos as icons and shortcut images via Icon Customizer
LG will initially roll out Optimus UI 3.0 on the Optimus LTE II this week in South Korea and will be followed by the Optimus 4X HD next month.
