MSI Showcases New X79 Motherboard With Mobile Overclocking App At CES

MSI is putting its best foot forward at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this year, showcasing its new flagship motherboard, the Big Bang-XPower II, which incorporates a 22-phase hybrid PWM design that provides up to 240% power at 770A. The board also includes 4-way SLI / CrossFire multi-GPU technology support and 8 slots of 4-channel memory. Additionally, Military Class III components are used for X79/Z77 series mainboards for better stability.

The motherboard can also be accessed wirelessly through the new Command Center iOS app and the MultiConnect control panel enabling monitoring, overclocking and overvoltage of mainboards and allowing users to control main settings of the mainboard anywhere and at anytime. The app also supports multimedia interactions with video control playback.

Aside from motherboards, MSI also announced  world’s first PCI Express Gen 3 graphic card Series powered by AMD’s latest 28nm Radeon HD 7900 graphic chip, the R7970-2PMD3GD5, with MSI’s proprietary overclocking software, Afterburner.
