Samsung’s Game-changing, Next-generation Smart TVs Now Official In PH Market
Back in March, your HardwareZone team covered Samsung’s grand annual regional Forum, where the Korean consumer technology manufacturer announced, unveiled, and demonstrated the latest selection of its exciting roster of 3Cs offerings. Now, we’re happy to report that one of the key highlights from the big launch in Bangkok, Thailand is now officially here on Philippine soil. We’re talking about Samsung’s latest generation Smart TVs, headlined by the Series 8 ES8000 3D LED TVs.

Headlining the main event that was the Samsung AV Roadshow held last Wednesday at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, the flagship ES8000 3D LED TV series have become heralded as game-changers in the home entertainment scene, thanks to its holistic offering of intuitiveness, connectivity, and adaptability on top of high TV imaging quality that Samsung’s panels have long been renowned for. Overall, Samsung’s AV and TV strategy for 2012 is built on the pillars of Smart Interaction, Smart Content, and Smart Evolution.
Illustrating Smart Interaction, the latest Samsung technologies enable its flagship Smart TVs to recognize and respond to motion- and voice-based controls, as well as facial recognition. Through Smart Interaction, users can turn the TV on and off, switch channels and modes, adjust volume, and explore on-screen apps and widgets and even the World Wide Web – all without touching any remote control.
Smart Content, meanwhile, provides users access to the widest variety of premium content worldwide, including a selection of over 1,500 apps and growing. Through the built in Smart Hub interface in the TV, all members of the family can enjoy preloaded material and services that can allow them to engage, learn, and interact in a fun and convenient way. In line with Smart Content, Samsung has also improved its means for convergence and content accessibility through AllShare Play, which creates a virtual link between Samsung’s latest Smart TVs and its other digital devices such as smartphones, tablets, digital cameras, notebooks, and more.
Last but not least, Samsung promises true long-term value for its latest line of Smart TVs through Smart Evolution. Using an “Evolution Kit” installed in the flagship TVs, Samsung leverages on system-on-chip technology to allow users to keep pace with developments in TV hardware and software every year, without asking them to spend on a new TV set each time.
