Six Ways To Cool Your CPU

When looking to cool your PC’s CPU, it’s always a good idea to get one that has strong cooling potential, especially if your aim is to overclock. At the same time, finding one that is also whisper quiet would be great so Cooler Master offered up its Hyper 612 PWM cooler.

This tower cooler utilizes six copper tubes that cross the width of the metal plate which come into contact with the CPU. These six pipes go up to the heatsink from two sides to increase the area of dissipation. Additionally, the fins of the heatsink have been spaced wider than most heatsinks to allow more air to get through and carry the heat out at lower fan speeds. As for its fan, the Hyper 612 employs a 120mm fan that can go up to 2000RPM and easily snaps on the heatsink through convenient plastic brackets. In case you have a spare 120mm fan, you can add it to the Hyper 612 as the package comes with an extra set of brackets for mounting an additional 120mm fan. The package also includes a number of metal brackets for mounting the cooler on various CPU sockets from the Intel LGA775 to LGA1366 and AMD processors.
