Pocket-lint reported last Friday (GMT) that the Acer CloudMobile has received a recognition for its design from the International Forum (iF) Design Awards.

But what is the Acer CloudMobile?

The CloudMobile is apparently Acer’s flagship smartphone that the company will officially unveil at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2012 this month. Acer tipped that the handset will hit the shelves sometime in Q3 this year.

Being the top-end model in Acer’s future lineup of handsets, the CloudMobile will run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It will have a 4.3-inch display and will measure less than 10 millimeters in terms of thickness.

The photo above shows that the CloudMobile bears a resemblance to the Iconia Smart S300 which Acer introduced last year and has a larger 4.8-inch screen.
