ASUS is 1st tech brand to win in Panagbenga, donates prize to Baguio school

L-R: Students of Baguio City National High School Students, Jake Nualla, ASUS Senior Visual Merchandiser, Mr. Romulo M. Flora, School Principal, Francis Garcia, ASUS Product Marketer for Smartphones, Ms. Ester Gallotan, Head Teacher-in-Charge and Sales, Laser Marketing of BCNHS.

Recently named as Small Float Second Runner-up in Panagbenga Festival, ASUS Philippines donated its prize to Baguio City National High School, as part of its advocacy to empower Filipino students by giving reliable devices that will help them achieve their long-term goals.

As the first tech brand to do so in the said float parade, ASUS gave its prize worth PhP 100,000 for a cause in the form of new ASUS computer equipment.

With a student population of over 8,000, the academe will be utilizing the devices in its Hillside Annex that has around nine teachers and 250 students. Also, the annex currently has no computer lab and the computer units are no longer functional.

“Even though our teachers are trained in using manila paper and cartolina as teaching aids, it would still be better with a laptop because that’s now the common medium for instruction. And with these new computer equipment, I know our teachers will be able to deliver better lectures,” Romulo M. Flora, Secondary School Principal, Baguio City National High School, said.
