ASUS Maximus V Extreme Showcased at Davao Cyber Expo 2012

This past week, from July 27 to 29, consumers, gamers, and PC enthusiasts swarmed The Annex of SM City Davao to take part in Davao Cyber Expo 2012. While we usually cover and feature events that are happening in Metro Manila due to proximity, Davao Cyber Expo is a relevant event in the local technology scene not only because of the huge number of attendees, but also the vigorous participation of several PC component manufacturers. This year, participating vendors include Aero Cool, AMD, ASUS, BenQ, Brother, Cooler Master, ECS, FSP, Gigabyte, Kingston, MSI, NZXT, OCZ, PowerColor, Razer, SteelSeries, Thermaltake, and WD.

Being one of the major sponsors, ASUS did not let itself fall behind during the event. Seeing the affair a timely opportunity, ASUS grabbed spotlight with its Maximus V Extreme motherboard. Interestingly, ASUS has not yet staged a local launch for the Maximus V Extreme, so we can say that it was the first time that the company presented the motherboard locally. To recall, the board made its first appearance at Computex 2012 last month.

With this turn of events, it means that ASUS’ current motherboard arsenal under the Republic of Gamers (ROG) lineup is now ashore. The Maximus V Extreme joins with its comrades, the Maximus V Formula and the Maximus V Gene, which we featured through a preview and a review, respectively. Once we receive the Maximus V Extreme, do expect us to come up with an article soon.
