NFC or Near Field Communications is the new standard feature on the latest smartphone releases, from RIM's BlackBerry Bold 9900 to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, While some companies like Nokia have applied the technology to its audio devices, the biggest application looks to be cashless payment.
