D-Link appoints new chairman of the board
D-Link has announced that Douglas Hsiao is to succeed John Hsuan as the company’s new chairman. However, Hsuan will continue to serve on the board.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Hsiao has served as D-Link’s Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of the Board since 2015. Also, he is the former general manager and current corporation representative of the board director at Alpha Networks Incorporated.
“I am honored to be named Chairman and I have confidence in continuing D-Link’s success in creating innovative, high-quality networking solutions,” Douglas Hsiao, said. “D-Link has been a market leader for over 30 years and I look forward to leading D-Link as it enters a new era.”
Hsiao also held positions as sales manager at Wang Laboratories, Vice President of Sales at Lite-On Technology Corporation, and columnist at DigiTimes.
Hsiao graduated from National Chiao Tung University with a degree in telecommunication engineering. He continued to be involved with his alma mater as he became CEO of the Branding College of his Alumni Association.
