GIGABYTE Launches Motherboards Capable of Connecting 12 Devices Simultaneously
GIGABYTE announced the latest GIGABYTE 7 series motherboards which are the very first to offer fully certified dual onboard Thunderbolt ports. Offering the fastest connection interface on the desktop PC, these ports can be connected with up to twelve devices plus 3 digital displays simultaneously that can transfer 1TB of data in just five minutes - all made possible via its bi-directional 10Gbps data pipeline that includes both PCIe and DisplayPort traffic. Transferring full HD 1080p movies will only take as short as 30 seconds. The folks over at GIGABYTE truly redefined desktop PC connectivity making it easier to connect multiple high speed storage devices and HD displays to your PC.
GIGABYTE has worked closely with several leading device partners, including Promise Technology, LaCie, BlackMagic, Western Digital, Seagate, Elgato, CalDigit and cable manufacturer Sumitomo.

Dual Thunderbolt Ports are featured on the following GIGABYTE motherboard models:
- GIGABYTE Z77X-UP5 TH
- GIGABYTE Z77X-UP4 TH
- GIGABYTE Z77MX-D3H TH
Among these, GIGABYTE Z77X-UP5 TH and GIGABYTE Z77X-UP4 TH both employ GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 5 technology that includes high current capable components for the CPU power zone including IR3550 PowIRstage ICs from International Rectifier, 2X Copper PCB and high current Ferrite Core Chokes rated up to 60A, which together are able to deliver up to 60°C* cooler temperatures than traditional motherboards.
