Globe Business spearheads cybersecurity forum with pool of experts
Globe Telecom, through its enterprise ICT arm Globe Business, has recently led a team of cybersecurity experts in conducting a focused group discussion (FGD) geared toward the development of the Department of Information and Communications Technology’s (DICT) e-Government Master Plan 2.0, a comprehensive master plan that aims to harmonize and integrate the ICT efforts of the national government on addressing challenges of digitally transforming the government’s systems by developing strategies in focus areas including cybersecurity, financial management, general administration and logistics, and data exchange.
Globe Business, in partnership with the Infocomm Technology Association of the Philippines (ITAP) and DICT, organized the FGD on Cybersecurity and Security-in-Depth Systems that discussed a series of topic aiming to help equip the government sector with knowledge on dealing with cybersecurity threats. Over 80 participants from 13 different national agencies took part in this event.

The session featured Globe Business Senior Advisor for Support Services and Solutions Development Mike Sy as the keynote speaker wherein he discussed the fast-evolving landscape of cybersecurity, and a framework that intends to help the government on setting up a solid foundation for cybersecurity and strengthen their posture. Other experts took on various subject matters such as the breakout sessions regarding emergency response systems, forensics and analytic systems, national systems event information management, and threat intelligence management system.
Also taking part in the event was Globe Business and its presentation of solutions to combat cybercrime, protect data, and reduce security risks. These ensure coverage in numerous aspects of managing security such as Vulnerability Assessment, Network Security, Application and Content Security, Endpoint Security and Access Control, and Security Management.
In addition, Globe Business is also spearheading the #makeITsafePH campaign to empower its clients to safeguard sensitive corporate data and protect their resources.
