IDC Identifies Schneider Electric As DCIM Market Leader

An IDC report identified Schneider Electric as a market leader in the Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) space. The report is titled "IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) 2011 Vendor Analysis". Schneider Electric's DCIM solutions are part of its StruxureWare for Data Centers management software suite. Combined with Schneider Electric's Data Center Facility Management (DCFM) software tools, StruxureWare for Data Centers provides an integrated and multifaceted view of all the physical systems of the data center.

In addition to Schneider Electric’s StruxureWare for Data Centers, the company's recent acquisition of Viridity’s EnergyCenter 2.0 platform adds further capabilities to the software suite. EnergyCenter 2.0 allows for auto-discovery of IT assets to optimize capacity utilization at the IT asset level.
