Instagram Stories now has over 200 million daily users vs Snapchat’s 161 million
Instagram introduced its new feature called Stories last August 2016. The new feature is similar to Snapchat’s format, wherein users can post multiple photos and videos in a slideshow setup. Designed to disappear 24 hours after posting these images and videos, Instagram Stories was clearly an answer to the increasing users of Snapchat.
However, Instagram has announced that its Stories feature now has over 200 million daily users, beating Snapchat’s 161 million users.
This appears to be a bad news for Snapchat most especially now that Facebook has joined the “Stories” trend. Before Facebook, Messenger also released its own Stories feature.
