Fulfilling their announcement at MWC 2012 last February, Intel Corporation and India-based Lava International Ltd., have finally made the XOLO X900 available in India. A new Android smartphone, the XOLO X900 is unique because it is powered by the Intel Atom Z2460 processor clocked at 1.6GHz with Hyper Threading technology. Coupled with 400MHz graphics clock, the XOLO X900 can handle 1080p HD video encoding and playback, and integrates an 8-megapixel camera.

Based on Intel’s reference design, the XOLO X900 espouses a 4.03-inch display and initially runs Gingerbread, although it will eventually receive an Ice Cream Sandwich over the air. In terms of battery life, the XOLO X900 promises to deliver up to 5 hours of 3G browsing, 45 hours of audio, and 8 hours of talk time.

Available in India starting on April 23, the XOLO X900 will sell for the price of INR 22,000 (approximately PhP 18,000 or SGD 528).
