LG Goes Quad Core with Optimus 4X HD Smartphone
LG has been occupying headlines recently for its successive smartphone announcements prior to MWC 2012. This time, LG is announcing the Optimus 4X HD, a quad-core smartphone powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 chip clocked at 1.5GHz. To maximize Tegra 3’s processing power, the handset runs Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and comes with 1GB LPDDR2 RAM. In front, the Optimus 4X HD packs a 4.7-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution. On the imaging front, the handset carries an 8-megapixel main camera coupled with a 1.3-megapixel shooter in front. The phone is powered by a 2150mAh battery module.
