In spite of the short rainfall that showered in early evening last Friday, Nokia’s Lumianation truly became a big affair that filled the Bonifacio High Street Central Amphitheater in Taguig City with lights, sounds, and excitement. The event was not only witnessed by the local media and the blogging community, but also by the public in general. Guests from all walks of life were treated to performances by the Chicago-based international group Jump Smokers that added to the music served by the night’s DJs.
Lumianation, the grand launch of Nokia’s lineup of Windows Phone-powered devices was spearheaded by Nokia Philippines’ General Manager and Head of Sales Mr. Dharmesh Goshalia, and Corporate Communications Manager Ms. Nikka Abes. Joining the party were the country’s top telcos Globe Telecom and Smart Communications, which are the exclusive carriers of the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, respectively. As per our earlier report, the midrange Lumia 610 and the flagship Lumia 900 showed up during the event, completing the Lumia family that is offered in the Philippines. At the time of writing, the two telcos have not revealed their plans for the two handsets. The Lumia 610 costs PhP 10,980, whereas the Lumia 900 sells for the price of PhP 27,990.
