Microsoft Formally Begins "I.T.: It's More Fun In The Philippines" Roadshow

It was earlier today at Aracama in Fort Bonifacio, Global City where Microsoft Philippines, in partnership with Ford Group Philippines, launched a series of roadshows dubbed as "Microsoft I.T.: It's More Fun in the Philippines". Following the Department of Tourism's viral slogan, the campaign will see the two companies' first ever nationwide technology roadshow across 15 cities in the Philippines. The roadshow will begin on September 10 in General Santos and will go on for two months.
Karrie Capellan-Ilagan, Microsoft Philippines Managing Director, explained that their plan is to increase their focus on empowering Filipino-owned businesses and helping those companies become globally competitive. The roadshow will not only highlight new technological innovations, but also help participants in improving their business' productivity.
Partner schools will also experience Microsoft's ambitious campaign, according to Capellan-Ilagan. "We will also go around schools to show these institutions how they can optimize technology and help in their operation. At Microsoft Philippines, our desire to empower others with technology has always centered on how it can enrich peoples' lives, build businesses, and further improve our country," she stated.
Ford Philippines' involvement comes in the form of providing the vehicle which will carry Microsoft Philippines' three Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) on the tour. The Microsoft MVPs, who are the best and brightest from technology communities around the country, will ride the all new 2013 Ford Ranger during the 15-day roadshow.
