MyPhone Vortex Quad-core Phablet Unveils, Has TARA and Clever Motion Like Iceberg
Following the launch of the 5.7-inch Iceberg last July, MyPhone recently announced another quad-core phablet, namely the Vortex. Part of the company’s Agua series of Android phones, the 5-inch MyPhone Vortex is a dual-SIM handset that comes with a 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core processor (Cortex-A7), 1GB RAM, and a PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. A robust offering not only because of its Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display protection and aluminum frame, the MyPhone Vortex is also tough in terms of security as it features Iceberg’s TARA anti-theft technology. Similar to the Iceberg, the Vortex also runs Android Jelly Bean with Clever Motion feature as an enhancement. On the imaging department, the phablet boasts a 13-megapixel BSI main camera, coupled with a 5-megapixel secondary shooter in front. The MyPhone Vortex holds 16GB internal memory and supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi for wireless connectivity. With a 2000mAh lithium ion battery, the handset weighs 158g and measures 144.5 x 73.8 x 8.9mm. Priced at PhP 12,388 with 8GB memory card, the MyPhone Vortex is also available for PhP 516.17/month in 24 months and PhP 2,064.67/month in six months at 0% interest via major credit cards.
