New feature of Gmail now plays video attachment on the desktop

Gmail users can now watch video attachments on the page without having to download the file first.

According to Google, the new feature is now rolling out to everyone, however, it may take up to 15 days to complete the process.

Users can still download the video attachment, but clicking on the file will now open a YouTube-like video player. Then, it will let users play the clip back, adjust quality and sound levels, and stream it to a Chromecast device.

Meanwhile, the feature is still limited knowing that Gmail attachments can’t exceed 50MB. This means users have to adjust their video length, or its resolution.
