Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 To Be Released Separately By Smart and Globe

Earlier this month, we released a news update stating that Nokia is about to release Lumia 710 in the Philippines with the sole distribution of Smart. Known as Nokia’s first Windows Phone 7.5 handset, it is available at an amortized and discounted price of only P450 a month for 24 months, with a limited edition Plan 1000.

Lumia 710's 3.7-inch high resolution display makes it easy to type and read SMS messages on a full touchscreen. Its battery can also last for up to 8 hours (talktime) on a single charge enabling users to make calls and not worry about their batteries draining after a short period of time.

That being said, this Thursday (April 19, 2012) is going to be the day that Smart launches Lumia 710. The event will be held at Republiq Club in Resorts World Manila from 7PM to 9PM followed by a celebration party afterwards.

On the other hand, if Smart got dibs on the Lumia 710, Globe claimed Nokia Lumia 800 as their own. They will be hosting a launch event this Wednesday (April 18, 2012) at the Beso Cucina Vinoteka, Bonifacio High Street Central, The Fort.

Armed with a single-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with an Adreno 205 GPU, this phone is packed with features that definitely brings much more to the Windows Phone platform. Image source: HardwareZone Singapore

The Nokia Lumia 800 also features a 3.7-inch screen but unlike the Lumia 710's WVGA display, this one's got an AMOLED screen.
