OPPO A57 with 16MP front camera and bokeh effect arrives in PH at PhP 11,990

OPPO has launched yet another selfie-centric smartphone in the form of the OPPO A57.

Joining the OPPO F1s, OPPO F3, and OPPO F3 Plus in the selfie party, the new OPPO A57 packs a 16-megapixel front camera similar to that of the F1s with the same F2.0 aperture lens but with an improved bokeh effect. OPPO’s Beautify 4.0 feature also comes as standard, in addition to palm shutter gesture and screen flash feature for clear selfies even when taken at dim areas.

For its main shooter, the OPPO A57 carries a 13-megapixel camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor and a large F2.2 aperture essential in producing photos with high light sensitivity and clarity even at night. The device can capture photos of up to 52-megapixel through its Ultra-HD mode and has Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) with a swift focus time of 0.1 seconds.

Beneath its 5.2-inch unibody with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 screen, the OPPO A57 conceals a combination of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and Adreno 505 GPU. It comes equipped with OPPO’s ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshamallow, and runs on a 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The device is also powered by a 2900mAh integrated battery, and comes with a card tray for two nano SIMs.

The OPPO A57 also has a fingerprint scanner which according to OPPO, is made with a hydrophobic zirconium surface which aids in faster device unlocking even with wet fingers. The device is priced at PhP 11,990.
