PLDT Smart SME Nation kicks off “Make It Big” campaign
In line with its mission to empower Filipino entrepreneurs, PLDT SME Nation recently launched its “Make It Big” campaign with the Big Talks Conference.
The “Make It Big” movement mainly aims to help micro, small and medium enterprises to boost their businesses with the advancement of technology and by using the internet.
“As we continue our roadshows around the provinces and our focus group discussions for the micro, small and medium enterprises in the country, we found out that most of their aspirations – why they became an entrepreneur and started a business – is mainly because of their passion. It was all because of the dream. With that, we’ve tried to figure out how we are going to make our new movement internally to our people in PLDT and Smart to the entrepreneurs of the Philippines. Hence, our big launch of Make It Big,” PLDT SME Nation Head of SME Business, Mr. Mitch Locsin stated.
“Our focus is to answer basically the dream that will yield the best for you as an entrepreneur and your family, to answer the dream to inspire your people, and to answer to dream to make it big in the community,” he added.
The Big Talks Conference highlighted a forum led by business ambassadors namely Bernie Liu of Penshoppe, Laura Verallo de Bertotto of VMV Hypoallergenics, and Cecilio Pedro of Hapee Toothpaste, in which they shared stories on the success and growth of their respective companies, as well as insights on the importance of technology and e-commerce in taking business to the next level, leading to more opportunities for the community.
PLDT Smart SME Nation also introduced its pillars who took the leap of humbly starting their own businesses and turning it to a success. They are Joseph Calata of Calata Corp., Kim Lao of Kimstore, Rudy and Rosiell de Leon of Bianca's Ice Candy, and Krie Reyes-Lopez of Messy Bessy.
