Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to Have 5.5-inch Flexible Display, Alleged Photo Appears
During the past months, KoreaTimes has been a recurring source of interesting gossips and news about the technology giant Samsung. It is not surprising, considering that KoreaTimes is based in South Korea, the birth country of Samsung. This time, KoreaTimes’ new report focuses on the Galaxy Note 2, telling us that the next-generation ‘phablet’ from Samsung will sport a 5.5-inch flexible AMOLED display. It does not mean that the entire device will be bendable, but rather it will have a slightly curved display. With the use of a larger screen layered with an Unbreakable Plane (UBP) and plastic substrate, the Galaxy Note 2 will seem to have a wide battery module but not necessarily thick.
Meanwhile, on the official fan page of Samsung Pakistan, an alleged image of the Galaxy Note 2 was published. Eventually, the fan page removed the said image and explained that it is the fake Galaxy S III which has been circulating since February. Comparing the image with the actual Galaxy S III, the difference is prominent indeed. Relying on a previous report that the Galaxy Note 2’s design possibly will take inspiration from the Galaxy S III, we may assume that the imminent ‘phablet’ will have a rounded outline as well. Do anticipate more ‘imagined’ images of the Galaxy Note 2 to surface on the Internet as Samsung’s ‘Unpacked’ event on August 29 approaches.
