With three of the top five spots taken by Samsung, Consumer Reports has revealed its latest smartphone rankings wherein the Samsung Galaxy S8+ claimed the top spot.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S8+ is followed by the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7 edge, LG G6, and the Apple iPhone 7 Plus

According to Consumer Reports, its bezel-less design, good battery life, and top-notch camera made the Galaxy S8+ to be the number one smartphone today. It also features a minimalist, yet modern and elegant design that provide a comfortable feel in the hands. However, one-handed operation is difficult due to its tall and narrow display.

Also, the organization reveals that the Galaxy S8 phones boast the best cameras in the market, as it has rich colors and admirable low-light performance. Aside from these, they noted that the series cameras has less over-sharpening.

"Finally, a few top-end cameras, including the iPhone 7 Plus and the LG G6, have dual rear-facing cameras, to enhance either zoom or wide-angle photography. The Samsung phones haven't gone that route yet—and we don't think they suffer for it," Consumer Reports said.

The Galaxy S8+ and S8, however, got some demerit points for the bad placement of the fingerprint sensor.
