Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus Showcased at Eastwood Mall (Updated)
The activity center in front of Eastwood Mall in Quezon City became the venue of Samsung Philippines’ Tab Lab event today. The occasion officially welcomed the arrival of two of the company’s latest Android-based tablets, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus P6200 and the Galaxy Tab 7.7 P6800.

On paper, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has lower specifications than the Galaxy Tab 7.7, featuring a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 7-inch PLS display with 1024 x 600 resolution, and 4000mAh built-in battery.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 comes with a faster 1.4GHz dual-core processor, a larger and brighter 7.67-inch Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 resolution, and a 5100mAh integrated battery.
In spite of these differences, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus and the Galaxy Tab 7.7 share a lot of similarities. Both tablets come with a starting ROM size of 16GB, 1GB RAM, a 3-megapixel main camera capable of 720p video recording, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and run on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). With phone features, the two tablets can work on quad-band GSM and HSDPA with connectivity options of Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 3.0, and USB 2.0.
The Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus costs PhP 23,990, whereas the Galaxy Tab 7.7 sells for PhP 32,990. For more information about their specs, visit www.samsung.com/ph.
