Skullcandy Reinforces Local Presence

Every Revolution Needs A Soundtrack

Having made a good reputation for creating and rolling out headphones decked out in attention-grabbing designs across the world, Skullcandy looks to further tap into the local audience’s innate love for music and style. Holding a press conference last Saturday, 18 February 2012, at the Manila Peninsula Hotel, the Utah-based company acknowledged the support of local consumers over the past five years and announced its commitment to bring even more diverse and more high-quality selections of its product lines.

“Filipinos have extensively patronized our products. The love for music and style is so intertwined, it’s fascinating,” says Skullcandy’s Business Development Manager, Kris Altenburger. He adds, “Even Ellen Degeneres confirms (on Twitter) that some of the best singers are actually from this part of the globe. In addition, Filipinos are renowned creators and consumers of music, and there is definitely a natural affinity between the Philippines and Skullcandy.”

Skullcandy is locally distributed by Rains International Corporation. The brand can be seen in 59 stores nationwide as of this date, and the distributor is eyeing making Skullcandy available in over 300 stores in total within this year.
