Transcend Information Inc. recently announced its newest DrivePro 230 dashcam.

The DrivePro 230 is equipped with Sony Exmor sensor that captures high-resolution images with superb, rich color even in low-light conditions. Its built-in Wide Dynamic Range technology balances the brightest and dimmest areas of captured images to clearly record details at 30fps at 1080p Full HD resolution.

It also features motion detection function that activates recording when motion is sensed and the time-lapse video recording function that enables users to view the footage promptly. With the DrivePro Toolbox, the device enables the full review of a trip, GPS position, speed, and the time when the incident happened.

The dashcam also features Lane Departure Warning System that alerts driver when sudden changes in speed and lane are detected. Meanwhile, the Forward Collision Warning System warns the user when the driving speed exceeds a preset value or when the vehicle is getting too near to the car ahead.

Aside from these, the DrivePro will activate the Headlight Reminder when it detects poor lighting conditions. It will also remind driver to take a rest after driving for a preset driver-determined period of time through the Driver Fatigue Alert.

The DrivePro 230 dashcam is backed by Transcend’s two-year limited warranty.
