Western Digital has expanded the lineup of its WD Sentinel DX4000 small office storage server to include 12TB and 6TB models, adding to the current 4TB and 8TB options. Each model two enterprise-class drives with built-in remote access, configured in either RAID 1 or 5. It also features automatic backup for up to 25 clients, and redundant network connectivity in the event of a network connection failure. The WD Sentinel DX4000 is available at select retailers for the following SRPs:

Western Digital now offers its WD Sentinel DX4000 small office storage server in increased capacities of 6 TB and 12 TB, in additional to the original capacities of 4 TB and 8 TB.
WD Sentinel is a storage server designed specifically to meet the storage needs of small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs). The 4 TB and 6 TB models of WD Sentinel include WD’s two enterprise-class drives of 2 TB and 3 TB each respectively, which offers small business owners the ability expand small office server storage capacity as their business and storage demands grow. In addition, with built-in remote web access, the WD Sentinel DX4000 small office storage server acts as the “on-premise cloud storage” for the SMB.

WD Sentinel comes preconfigured with WD’s award-winning enterprise-class drives, in RAID 1 or 5 for increased speed and double-safe data protection. It offers automatic scheduled backup for up to 25 client computers; features redundant network connectivity, so in the event of a connectivity failure on one port, it can automatically switch over to a second network connection.
WD offers several services for WD Sentinel users, including WD Guardian Services, provided by WD customer support, with different levels offering next-day parts replacement service, priority access to technical support, and in some cases extended warranty from the standard 3-year warranty to 5 years.
