ZTE Athena Is World's Newest Thinnest Smartphone

Just when you thought that the race for the thinnest smartphone among manufacturers was over, Chinese vendors are still at it. Earlier this year, Huawei wowed the crowd at CES with its Ascend P1 S which measures 6.68mm thin. This feat was followed by the Dongguan-based Oppo Digital with its 6.65mm-thin Finder handset. Recently, another Chinese manufacturer has beaten the record, the giant ZTE with a smartphone codenamed ‘Athena’. Within the device’s 6.2mm-thin profile, the ‘Athena’ reportedly packs a Cortex-A15 chip and 64GB built-in storage, while in front it has a 720p display. It is also said that the ‘Athena’ runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), although its availability and pricing (including the photo) are not yet clear.
