PhotoWorld Asia 2014 – Bringing Photography Closer to Consumers

From January 30 to February 4, 2014, this year’s PhotoWorld Asia exhibition happened at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati City. There, renowned brands in the field of photography as well as digital storage showcased a wide variety of imaging products and services that cater to the needs of photographers, from amateurs to professionals.

Notable exhibitors at this year’s event include Benro, Canon, Fujifilm, Samsung, SanDisk, and WD, along with imaging service providers and product vendors like Big Pix, Camerahaus, JT Photoworld, and Vet Specialists. Noteworthy, the event served as an appropriate and timely avenue for these brands to introduce to the local market their newest products. Fujifilm officially launched the X-T1, Samsung let PhotoWorld visitors to experience the CES-launched NX30, and WD evangelized the power of cloud-based storage with the My Cloud. In a larger perspective, Canon seemingly dominated the event by putting up a large booth, throwing a number of activities, and bringing a bevy of products consisting of digital cameras, camcorders, lenses, and photo printers. The PhotoWorld Asia 2014 served, not only as an exhibition, but also a buying event where consumers were offered exclusive deals and discounts.
