Design and Build
The LG Sound 360 comes embodied in a tumbler-like form with its frame looking like a porcelain. Found on top of the speakers are touch-sensitive buttons composed of the usual controls like pause/play, next/previous track, volume up and down, and of course, the Bluetooth button. It also has an EQ button wherein you can switch from treble boost, bass boost and power boost, and an LED Light control button. We tried pressing the touch-sensitive buttons multiple times, and we noticed that it gets resistive sometimes.
As much as we like its overall look, the LG Sound 360 seemed a bit heavier than the portable Bluetooth speakers we previously reviewed.
The LG Sound 360’s package comes with a USB cable, cleaning cloth, and a user manual.
To test the battery life of the LG Sound 360, we continuously played songs with the volume set at the medium level. With its 5200mAh battery, the LG Sound 360 lasted for 8 hours. When used frequently, the LG Sound 360 promises a playback time of up to 20 hours. We had to wait for 5 hours for the LG Sound 360 to be fully charged, though. As a guide, the LG Sound 360 has a charging indicator that flashes red when the battery is charged under 80 percent, violet for above 80 percent, and blue for 100 percent.
The Sound 360 is packed with a 1.1 CH and a built-in woofer. Matching its premium look, it gave us an outstanding performance with regards to sound quality.
To test its sound performance, we played multiple songs like Ghosttown by Madonna, Smooth by Santana, and Melt My Heart to Stone by Adele. Its 360-degree speakers played a well-distributed sound, without any distortion even with the volume set at the highest. It also has a remarkable, pounding bass and a good soundstage. It produced a whole and neat sound while maintaining the balance between the background instruments and vocals.
With its superb sound performance, partnered with a stylish look and long battery life, the LG Sound 360 is an excellent pick in the line of Bluetooth speakers found in the market today. It retails at PhP 7,990.
