ASUS introduces a 256GB version of their Zenfone 2

ASUS Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition is indeed a mouthful, even for a nice smatphone with more than enough storage space to go around.

Size matters, especially when it comes to smartphone internal storage. Knowing this, ASUS recently announced a new 256GB version of the Zenfone 2. Dubbed as Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition, the smartphone will retail in September 2015, but only within Brazil.

According to their announcement, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition’s specifications will not be very different (other than the storage space, of course). It will come with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, 13MP rear, and 5MP front PixelMaster cameras, a 2.3GHz 64-bit Intel Atom processor and 4GB RAM. Like the Zenfone 2 it was based on, this model also supports LTE network connection.

The phone will come in two colors: Carbon Night, which has a carbon-fiber pattern on the back of the camera, and Drift Silver, that has a refracted crystal arrangement in silver. Buying the ASUS Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will also grant the user a special copy of the Asphalt 8 racing game app, which includes pre-paid credits for in-game purchases.

If you’re wondering whether the ASUS smartphone is worth your penny – even without the massive 256GB storage space – you can read our review of the ASUS Zenfone 2 here.
