ASUS Philippines kicked off the new year with a bang as it launches the much-awaited Battery King phone, the ZenFone Max Plus. The latest addition boasts a powerful feature that is poised to set the bar high once again in the smartphone market when it comes to power and stamina.

ASUS ZenFone Max Plus packs a whopping 4130mAH battery life and becomes the first official smartphone that has an 18:9 full view FHD+ display that promises MAXimum display within its 80% screen-to-body ratio.

The smartphone also has a dual rear-camera system designed to take mobile photography top new heights. The 16-megapixel PixelMaster main camera that is equipped with a wide, F2.0 aperture lens to capture clearer photos, and a phase detection autofocus (PDAF) system that gives accurate focus on the subject in just 0.03 seconds even during moving circumstances. Plus, the secondary 120-degree wide-angle camera has a 200%-wider field of view than smartphone cameras which gives users the advantage for allowing more scenery or people to fit in the frame for dramatic landscapes, better groupies, and a more convenient photography experience in confined indoor spaces.

Moreover, the ZenFone Max offers users up to approximately 26 days of standby time, 26 hours of 3G talk time, 21 hours of web browsing through Wi-Fi, or up to 13 hours of video playback. It could even be used as a handy power bank to charge other devices.

And to cap the offering, ASUS ZenFone Max also showcases the Face Unlock feature which gives users a quick, secure, and convenient, alternative to the rear fingerprint sensor for unlocking the phone when wearing gloves or during inclement weather conditions.

With all these features at hand, the new smartphone sets to cater to those who want uncompromised performance with long battery life to grace the new year.

The launching event took place inside the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, where the brand also introduced TV actor Gerald Anderson as the company's new brand ambassador. The ABS-CBN star, who headlined the likes of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition, Budoy, and Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin over the course of his career, is also tagged as Hero of the Battery King.
