ASUS unleashes ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti and Maximus IX Extreme in first ROG-NVIDIA fan gathering

ASUS ROG and NVIDIA together with their partners G.Skill, Bitspower, and Seagate showed their appreciation to their fans in their first ROG-NVIDIA fan gathering held in Game Over PH at Quezon City.

The crowd along with the brands’ media partners were treated with games and fun activities to celebrate the night. Present at the gathering were ASUS’ new ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti and ROG Maximus IX Extreme.

ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1080Ti

Based on NVIDIA’s GeForce GTXX 1080Ti, the ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080Ti is a VR-ready gaming video card with ultra-fast gaming performance. Equipped with a larger cooler and ASUS’ MaxContact Technology, the brand was able to push the card’s clock speed at 1708MHz Boost Clock in OC Mode while delivering 30 percent cooler temperature and three times quieter compared to a Founders Edition card. Of course, the card is also RGB compatible with the ASUS Aura Sync as well as ASUS FanConnect II. In terms of power delivery, the brand has upped the card with their Auta-Extreme Technology with 10+2 phase Super Alloy Power II components to ensure superior reliability and quality.

ASUS ROG Maximus IX Extreme

Based on Intel’s Z270 chipset, the ASUS ROG Maximus IX Extreme is designed to be custom-cooled. With their collaboration with Bitspower, the Maximus IX Extreme’s monoblock has flow-rate, water-leak, and temperature sensors all integrated to keep wiring and tubing complexity to a minimum. This allows users to experience maximum water-cooled performance out of the box.

Compatible with Intel’s Kaby Lake processors, the board comes with ASUS Aura Sync Illumination, support for DDR4 4133MHz RAM, and SupremeFX S1220 codec with a 113dB signal-to-noise ratio for exceptional audio experience. To further improve the audio experience, Sonic Studio III has been included to give users access to audio profiles, voice enhancement tweaks, improved graphical sound detection system, and an evolved audio engine that processes sounds more accurately.

Currently, the ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080Ti is priced at PhP 51,380 while the ROG Maximus IX Extreme is priced at PhP 39,990.
