ASUS unveils slew of new laptops in Computex 2017

ASUS has been always known in delivering great products in their laptop division. The trend continues as they unveil plenty of new laptops in all price ranges.

Leading the charge is ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih. He took stage at the ASUS press event to present their new motto “The Edge of Beyond.”

ASUS ZenBook Flip S

Starting off is the world’s thinnest convertible laptop, the ASUS ZenBook Flip S. The ZenBook Flip S comes with a 360° screen as well as a weight of 1.1kg and a thickness of just 10.9mm. Of course, they have also improved the hinge with what they call the “ErgoLift” hinge that allows the laptop to have a dual-action mechanism that lift and tilts the keyboard into the perfect typing position when the display is opened beyond 135°. The ASUS ZenBook Flip S starts at US $1,099.

ASUS ZenBook Pro

With a Computex 2017 Best Choice award below its belt, the ASUS ZenBook Pro is the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful ZenBook Pro yet. Specced with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti, this new laptop is aimed to take down the current king of laptops, the Dell XPS 15. The ASUS ZenBook 3 Pro starts at US $1,299.

ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe

Much like the ZenBook Pro, the ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe has won the Computex 2017 d&I award with its 12.9mm thickness and 1.1kg weight, which houses a beautiful 14-inch NanoEdge ultra-narrow bezel. Touted as the world’s thinnest 14-inch laptop, it aims to provide users with the perfect balance between portability and productivity. Power is provided by an Intel Core i7-7500U complemeted by 16GB of 2133MHz DDR4 RAM while storage is handled by a 1TB NVMe SSD. The ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe starts its price at US $1,199.

ASUS VivoBook Pro 15

This 15.6-inch notebook is powered by Windows 10 with a an Intel Core i7-7700HQ complemented with 16GB DDR4 RAM as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 for pixel pushing prowess. It has a 3840 x 2160 display that delivers 100% sRGB color and a Harman Kardon certified audio powered by twin speakers that have 8cc audio chambers and smart-amplifier to deliver 3.2x the volume of your average laptop. It also has a fingerprint sensor for one-touch login via Windows Hello as well as support for the ASUS Pen. The ASUS VivoBook Pro is priced starting at US $799

ASUS VivoBook S15

The most premium laptop in the VivoBook range, this 15.6 Windows-based laptop comes with a 17.9mm profile and a weight of 1.5kg. It also has a NanoEdge display with a 7.8mm bezel that provides a wider display area. In terms of power, the notebook is powered by the latest Intel Core i7-7500U CPU complemented with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. The cheapest among the recently announced laptops, the ASUS VivoBook S starts at US $499
