ASUS unveils the ZenFone 4 Max with 5000mAh battery and dual-rear camera

Originally planned for release at the end of this month, ASUS has revealed the first member of the ZenFone 4 series – the ZenFone 4 Max.

Arriving with the same model name of ZC554KL, ASUS has announced various configurations for the ZenFone 4 Max. There are two different models powered by different processors; one is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, while the other runs on Snapdragon 430. Also, there are different models with different storage options ranging from 16GB to 64GB, and all of these come with a memory card slot. It has different amount of RAM of up to 4GB, too.

Running on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, the ZenFone 4 Max boasts a 5.5-inch Full-HD IPS LCD display, and is powered by a massive 5000mAh battery. Although the bundled 10W charger will take 4 hours to fully chare the battery, a 15-minute charge is said to provide up to 3 hours of talk time.

Apart from these, another key highlight of the ZenFone 4 Max is its dual-rear camera setup. It has dual 13-megapixel lens with one regular angle and another wide-angle that comes with a 120-degree field of view, while the front-facing 8-megapixel camera can take 140-degree selfie panorama.

Other specs include a metallic chassis, a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint sensor, and dual-SIM support.

The ASUS ZenFone 4 Max comes in black, pink, and gold. Meanwhile, the price list and availability of the models are not available at the time of publication.
